A Life List, aka Bucket List, is a list of things I want to see or accomplish with the time I’ve been granted. Some are big goals, some are small but all are important to me in their own way.
Travel
- see Ireland
- visit the Hockey Hall of Fame
- see an NHL game in Toronto and Montreal
- take a 2 week trip to at least 5 different cities to see NHL games
- visit all 50 states* (21/50)
- go on a mission trip with Stefanie
- go on a cruise with Stefanie
Experiences
- change the oil in my car by myself
- build a piece of furniture (a 2010 goal)
- read 1 book per month for 12 months (another 2010 goal)
- ride in a helicopter
- learn to snowboard
- ski a black diamond slope (so far I’ve only done greens)
- watch no TV for a week
- run a 5k
- donate blood
- try geocaching
- complete the world’s hardest Sudoku (done 10/6/09)
- learn to play the guitar
- take a great photo of each of my dogs and frame them
- drive a car until it hits 250,000 miles (my Jeep is at about 158k now)
- learn to juggle (at least 3 balls)
- help build a Habitat for Humanity home (2010 goal)
- read A Tale of Two Cities
- read 1984
- teach my son how to skate – either inline or ice
- take my son to a baseball game (done 9/19/09)
- take my son to a hockey game (done 12/18/09)
- complete the 2010 Men’s Health Urbanathlon in Chicago, IL
- Spend a few days WWOOFing
Food
- try 25 new recipes and take pictures of each
- bake a loaf of french bread (this won’t count towards #1)
- make pasta from scratch
Professional
- volunteer tax return preparation
- write an e-book (working on this now)
- mentor an accounting student
- publish an article in an accounting journal
Other
- exercise for at least 15 minutes for 365 days straight
- write in a journal every day for 365 days straight (goal for 2010)
